DMARD Pharmacy Visits

November 9, 2010

Hi Pharmacists!

The study coordinator, Jamie Thomas, and the study physiotherapist, Allison Ezzat, have starting making rounds to the pharmacies participating in the DMARD study.  It’s great to meet you all face-to-face and to discuss strategies to improve our pharmacy study!  If you haven’t made an appointment yet, please contact me and set-up an appointment that works for you!

RA and DMARDs (RAD) forms have been finalized!

July 29, 2010

We have just received approval from ethics regarding the final versions of our forms for the RA and DMARDs (RAD) study. This means that we will soon be able to move on to the next phases of the study, including continuing recruitment of pharmacies to participate and preparation of online materials.

At the moment, we are focused on trying to expand our study to include pharmacies in the Victoria area. We are also currently in the process of piloting the study with a few participating Vancouver pharmacies to make sure that the patient intake process runs smoothly.

Let us know if you have any questions (jamie513@interchange.ubc.ca)! We will be in touch soon about the next steps in the study process.

Online training materials coming soon

June 24, 2010

Online training materials for both of our studies (DMARD use in rheumatoid arthritis and pregnancy and hypertension) will be available soon. These materials will be CPPD-accredited and are designed to provide information about the topic of each study as well as information regarding study-specific procedures.

Please email us if you have any questions (jamie513@interchange.ubc.ca).
